What is it?

FotoFacial™/IPL is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment that improves various skin conditions. It delivers light energy pulses to the skin and targets specific pigments or blood vessels without harming the surrounding tissue. This process helps to reduce the appearance of issues like age spots, sun damage, acne scarring and rosacea.

FotoFacial™ works by using IPL (intense pulsed light) which sends light and heat energy into your skin. The Skin Care Center uses the INMode Lumecca device for non-invasive IPL treatment. The process rejuvenates the deep layers of the dermis, promoting collagen growth which is a key factor in minimizing wrinkles and fine lines, helping you achieve more youthful-looking skin. It is a versatile and practical treatment option for enhancing skin texture, tone and overall appearance.

What to expect

Each FotoFacial™ session takes approximately 30-minutes making it easy to fit into a morning or afternoon schedule. A topical cooling gel is used to minimize discomfort throughout the procedure.

After the treatment, your skin may appear slightly red or swollen, like a mild sunburn, but this typically subsides within a few hours to a day. Over the following days, you may notice some darkening or crusting of pigmented spots, eventually flaking off, revealing clearer skin beneath. A series of treatments may be spaced several weeks or months apart and are recommended for optimal results.
