What is it?

FotoFacial™/IPL is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment that improves various skin conditions. It delivers light energy pulses to the skin and targets specific pigments or blood vessels without harming the surrounding tissue. FotoFacial™ works by using IPL (intense pulsed light) which sends light and heat energy into your skin. The Skin Care Center uses the INMode Lumecca device for non-invasive IPL treatment. The process rejuvenates the deep layers of the dermis, promoting collagen growth which is a key factor in minimizing wrinkles and fine lines, helping you achieve more youthful-looking skin. It is a versatile and practical treatment option for enhancing skin texture, tone and overall appearance.

What to expect

Each FotoFacial™ session takes approximately 30-minutes making it easy to fit into a morning or afternoon schedule. A topical cooling gel is used to minimize discomfort throughout the procedure.

After the treatment, your skin may appear slightly red or swollen, like a mild sunburn, but this typically subsides within a few hours to a day. Over the following days, you may notice some darkening or crusting of pigmented spots, eventually flaking off, revealing clearer skin beneath. A series of treatments may be spaced several weeks or months apart and are recommended for optimal results.
