About Your Provider
Dr. Sanminder Singh is a California native turned Chicagoan. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of California San Diego, where he double majored in Human Biology and Psychology, earning both a B.S. and B.A. with honors. He then attended the University of California Davis School of Medicine for his medical school training. During that time he completed a year long, intensive clinical research fellowship at the University of Southern California, which focused on psoriasis and other chronic skin diseases and published numerous articles in high-impact peer reviewed journals.
After graduating medical school, he completed a year of internal medicine residency at the University of California Los Angeles and then moved to Pittsburgh for his dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. While in residency, he was trained by nationally renowned experts in all facets of dermatology including pediatric, medical, surgical, and cosmetic. He continued to pursue his interest in psoriasis through research and a panel of challenging psoriasis cases for the duration of his residency. Upon completing residency, he was awarded the Resident Research Award for his scholarly endeavors.
Dr. Singh is fluent in three languages including Hindi and Punjabi. He has a strong interest in general medical and surgical dermatology with an emphasis on psoriasis and skin cancer.
When he is not working, he likes hiking, traveling, exploring new restaurants, spending time with friends, going on walks with his dog, and enjoying what this great city has to offer.
