Our Medical Practice

For over 20 years, the Skin Care Center has been dedicated to providing individualized patient plans to those in the Chicagoland area. Our board-certified dermatologists offer expert skin care across medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology for patients of all ages. Our team includes highly trained physician assistants, dermatology-certified registered nurses, and aestheticians, all working together to effectively treat your skin concerns. We utilize the latest techniques in skin diagnosis, modern dermatological medicines, state-of-the-art surgeries, and recognized natural and alternative treatments.

With early and late office hours, convenient locations in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, Lake Forest, and Glenview, and ample parking, the Skin Care Center is here to serve your skin care needs. Our affiliation with DOCS Dermatology, a network of independent dermatology practices consisting of highly experienced board-certified dermatologists, ensures that we stay at the forefront of dermatological advancements while maintaining a patient-first philosophy. We strive to provide easy access to high-quality dermatologic care in a consistently friendly, convenient, courteous, and caring environment.

Who We Are

Founded in 1994 by Mark Allan Berk, MD, FRCPC, Chief of Dermatology at Advocate Illinois Masonic Hospital and then Chairman of the Division of Dermatology at the Chicago Medical School and the Veterans Administration Hospital in North Chicago, the Skin Care Center quickly earned a reputation for top-quality skin care in the Chicagoland area, providing comprehensive care for the whole family. With offices in Chicago, Lake Forest, and Glenview, our team includes board-certified dermatologists, fellowship-trained Mohs surgeons, physician assistants, dermatology-certified registered nurses, and medical assistants with years of experience in skin care who all continue to introduce new advances in dermatology.

Our skilled aestheticians address our patients cosmetic concerns offering innovative cosmetic treatments and work closely with our physicians to create personalized plans that help each patient look and feel their best. Our knowledgeable medical receptionists understand the unique needs of our patients and strive to ensure that every visit is a positive experience. Additionally, our friendly dermatology medical billing staff are always available to assist with insurance needs.
