What Is Eskata™?

Eskata™ is the first and only FDA-approved topical solution used to treat bothersome seborrheic keratoses (SKs). Your skin care specialist will use a pen-like device to deliver prescription-strength hydrogen peroxide (40%) directly to unwanted SKs. The high concentration of hydrogen peroxide causes oxidative damage to the raised cells. Eventually, the cells shed leaving you blemish-free.

The ideal candidate for Eskata™ is a patient who has raised age spots on the face (around the hairline or temples), neck, chest, or back. Eskata™ can treat SKs that are the same color or darker than your skin tone.

Eskata™ can be done in as little as 5-10 minutes making it an ideal ‘lunchtime’ procedure.

The hydrogen peroxide solution begins to take effect immediately. After approximately 1-week the raised lesion will fall off leaving you with a small scar. Continued improvement will gradually occur over several weeks. You can expect smooth, clear skin within 1-month.

There is no recovery needed after your Eskata™ treatment. You can go back to your daily routine immediately. Side effects are often minimal and dissipate quickly. However, you may experience itching, scaling, or redness at the treatment site following your appointment.
