What Is Pixel® (Fractional Skin Treatment)?

Whether you are bothered by fine lines, wrinkles, sun spots, or remnants of acne from your youth, having aged and blemished skin can add years to your appearance. Non-surgical Pixel® treatments are now available to help produce younger, healthier-looking skin with a comfortable in-office visit.

How Does It Work?

Pixel® is an FDA-approved resurfacing treatment that makes microscopic holes to the skin’s surface via targeted laser energy. The process leads to new collagen growth for firmer, smoother, and more youthful skin. Treatments are customized to suit your individual needs and address your unique concerns.

Am I A Good Candidate?

If you are seeking a long-term solution with little downtime for fine lines, wrinkles, or shallow acne scars on your face, you may be a good candidate for Pixel® fractional resurfacing. Pixel® is safe and effective for most skin types, textures, and tones. Consultation required prior to treatment.

How Long Does Treatment Take?*

Your treatment can last anywhere between 15-minutes to 2-hours, depending on the size of the area being treated. Fractional lasers only target small areas of the skin with each laser pulse which can take slightly longer but allows for a more comfortable treatment. You’ll be asked to arrive approximately 1-hour prior to your appointment to allow the topical numbing agent to take effect for a pain-free procedure.

What Results Will I See?*

Most patients see improvements in skin tone, texture, and appearance within a week of treatment. While some initial results can be seen after a single session, most patients need 2-5 treatments to achieve age-defying results. Collagen production continues up to 6-months after your final session.

Is There Any Downtime?

Because Pixel® only targets the skin’s surface, it makes the healing time much faster. Unlike traditional resurfacing lasers which can cause rawness and swelling, Pixel® promises skin improvements with relatively little or no downtime. Treatment is described only as a mild warming sensation and requires no downtime post-procedure.
